BB5 phone don't know why some time don't repair without repair rpl in case firmware have some bad information.

so what to do to test bb5 fully ??
use fbus cable like jaf support 7 pin rj45 cable.
and mt box support tx2 base rj48 pin cable.
both tools have backup option. at jaf u can go to crt backup (for new phones like n95 8gb and others tick on include ape) & click at backup.
its save plan format rpl.
and read 301 to 310 pm field with read pm option.
u can also read 1 and 309 in case you don't have modified pm you can use them next time.
but be careful only section 1 and 309 need better to use my ready made modified pms. download from BB5 F.A.Q. link both updated.

now we are ready to do erase and fully test bb5 in software.
with jaf select "BB5Erase_UNI_rapido.bin" file as mcu if fail select as ppm
with mt box select "BB5Erase_uni_rap.bin" file as mcu if fail select as ppm

now click on flash.
after flash finish. you see phone is fully dead.

now select any firmware but please don't select too old or too new because we gonna need it in some case.

now ur phone is on with imei damaged 1234567....and sp area should be FFFFFFFFF means corrupted.

first step is restore ur 308 backup.in case if you are not able to restore you have to use same firmware version you have it before when you take backup.

now wait 1minute after write..........
and replug cable to phone and check you get SP AREA repaired or not.
if repair means backup accepted
if still damage then you have to use same firmware version you have it before when you take backup.
now phone is on contact retailers or imei damaged only but fully working I mean.

at time you can write MODIFIED PM WITHOUT SX4..
because phone certificates is not in it so no need to do sx4 just select modified pm and write it.

now we can restore RPL backup which we made before.
now check phone info you get IMEI back or not phone should be on with contact retailer or fully working now…

but if
after restore backup in case your imei still damage or your phone show only nokia.
rewrite “MADE BY ME DAMAGE SEC ZONE OF BB5 by chevli.rpl” idea by karwos.

after this your phone imei is damaged and phone have contact retailer.
now in this case you need calculated rpl it will fix imei area.
replug cable and check both are IMEI and SIM LOCK repair or not?

if repair means your ready to go for SX4........

if not means your flash ic or rap3g not accepting original data (CALCULATED RPL) even means any of it damaged need to do hardware work.

sx4 is authorization as u know i write in my faq thread.
with jaf tick on sx4 and press service.
as soon as you get done.........
WITHOUT REMOVING ANYTHING CABLE OR PHONE should be at same condition as it is.
now tick on write pm.
write modified pm which have 1 and 309 section in it.
or we saved before 1 and 309 u can write them its same.

now this is what we call software testing any bb5 full repair method.

Some extra tips.

WHEN WE WRITE “DAMAGE SEC ZONE OF BB5 by chevli.rpl”

we can write modified pm without SX4.as simple as we write normal pm.
but after it YOU HAVE TO RESTORE BACKUP RPL NPC_DATA SO FIRST TAKE BACKUP BEFORE DOING IT.

when we have damaged BB5 phone with downgrade show only nokia blinking or VARIANT DATA damaged.

backup crt (imei or rpl any you like with any tool) first.
we can write “DAMAGE SEC ZONE OF BB5 by chevli.rpl” to get local mode or test mode.
now you can see you can do info and all that phone will work without any contact retailer or any problem. but phone will work with imei 123456789***XX which make it off in every 2 or 5min.
now take backup of your phone sim lock area (308 I mean)

now open your ORIGINAL RPL(which we backup first) in notepad.
now you can see there all ..
we need ALL NPC DATA to repair phone IMEI nothing else.
so what we do is copy all NPC_DATA_1 2 3 4 EVERYTHING AND PASTE IN ONE FILE SAVE THAT ALL PASTED DATA FILE AS RPL.
now restore that saved file and you see your phone have imei.
in case of contact retailer you can do sx4 and write modified pm.
in case of still nokia blink only way update it to new version.
in case of “DAMAGE SEC ZONE OF BB5 by chevli.rpl” write show failed to connect need to update to newest version of nokia.
in case of dead phone do erase method which mentioned on top.
this will fix your VARIANT_DATA problem also..

to write "DAMAGE SEC ZONE OF BB5 by chevli.rpl" user must tick on PLAIN RPL AT JAF CRT TOOL OPTION.
